Leadership

Pastor Wade & Amy DeForest served as associate pastors at Shreveport Community Church in Shreveport, La from 1984 to May 1998. Sensing God’s direction and with the blessing of their senior pastor and the congregation, Wade, Amy & their children moved to Fort Worth on May 2, 1998 and began Living Water Church. They have four children, Johnathan, Josh, Jordan, and Joseph, and  5 grandchildren.

Steve has been writing and playing Christian music for 50 years. Leading people in worship is at the heart of his calling, and he and his wife, Tamara, are blessed to be a part of Living Water Church.

Nick grew up in NRH, TX, has three siblings, and felt called to ministry in 2020 his junior year of high school. Over the next three years, God prepared him for ministry through a ministry residency, serving as a youth leader for three years, and graduating from Excelsior University. Nick came on staff in 2024 and married his high school sweetheart, Faith, later that year. He enjoys many hobbies, including hiking, pickleball, chess, and spending time with friends and family. 

Rebecca Upchurch came on staff as the Children’s Pastor in the fall of 2024. She grew up in Burleson, TX, and has two beautiful children, Randilyn and Jeffrey. She is passionate about reaching children and families with the love of Christ and helping them grow in their faith. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and studying God's Word. 

Angie Blake first began attending LWC in 2022 , she got saved and baptized at LWC and has been working for the church since 2023.  She has three grown children, enjoys fellowship with friends, cooking, playing pickleball and two-stepping.
